Cheap Rock of Ages tickets at the Garrick Theatre
The Show
Rock of Ages is an 'insanely fun' (New York Time Out) worldwide smash hit musical, featuring a raucous mix of 28 eyebrow-scorching '80s rock classics including Don't Stop Believin', We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Wanted Dead or Alive, Here I Go Again, Can't Fight This Feeling and I Want To Know What Love Is.
Never mind the recent Tom Cruise movie version. This is the real deal, presented and performed as it was designed to be - a great big, daft-grin-all-over-your-chops party-in-a-theatre. Its OTT, in-your-face spectacle absolutely requires a real-live cast of shameless extroverts leaping around about ten feet in front of you to make it happen in fullness. Take a trip to the Garrick Theatre post-haste and that, dear friends, is precisely what you will see.
This outrageous up-to-11 slab of spandex-toting metal magnificence, will have you throwing what remaining inhibition you have left into the nearest available receptacle and hurling yourself into the aisles making neck-threatening banging motions with your head. Party on!
Contains strobe lighting and adult themes. Parental Guidance recommended.
The Story
Set in LA's infamous Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages is a gloriously OTT homage to the era of chest-beating poodle rock. It tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit, and Sherrie, a small-town girl, who come to LA to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love.
Rock of Ages is a time-machine to the Reagan era, when big bands with big egos played big guitar solos and sported even bigger hair. This five-time Tony Award nominated musical is now a movie starring Tom Cruise - but not even the Cruiser can top the exhilarating thrill of experiencing it ‘live’ on stage.

Venue Info
Garrick Theatre
The Garrick Theatre is situated on Charing Cross Road in the West End of London, close to Leicester Square tube station.
This 650 seat venue was built in 1889. The first production to be staged there was Profligate by A W Pinero, which opened on April 24 1889. Among the countless notable shows to have graced this venerable West End theatre’s stage since then are A Pair of Spectacles, The Notorious Mrs Ebbsmith, No Sex Please, We’re British and An Inspector Calls.
In its early years the Garrick was famed for producing melodramas. Today, it enjoys consistent success and has firmly established itself as a receiving house; which is to say, it brings in actors, actresses and productions from elsewhere rather than developing productions in-house.
Like any long-serving institution, its fortunes have varied over the years. In 1934 the Garrick Theatre very nearly met its demise, when plans were made to convert the theatre into a ‘Super Cinema.’ Fortunately this plan failed to bear fruit.
The theatre closed during WWII, but sustained only limited damage during the Blitz and was able to re-open in September 1941. The auditorium was built on four levels and was able to seat nearly 2000 patrons. The Upper Gallery is no longer in use at the theatre, bringing it down to its current capacity.
The layout, size and intimate atmosphere of the Garrick Theatre make it the perfect place to see well known artists and productions in a personal environment. Recent successes include One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Bad Girls: The Musical, Derren Brown’s Mind Reader, A Little Night Music, The Little Dog Laughed, Pygmalion and Chicago.
Whatever you decide to see at the Garrick Theatre, we wish you an entertaining and rewarding visit.
