The classic movie romance Ghost has been adapted for the stage by Oscar winner Bruce Joel Rubin. It features music by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart and the writer of Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror Glen Ballard, alongside timeless showstopping standard Unchained Melody.
Matthew Warchus directs, with design by Rob Howell and lighting by Hugh Vanstone. This heavy-hitting theatre team’s previous credits include God of Carnage, La Bete and Olivier Award-winner Matilda. Stage effects are by Paul Kieve, illusionist for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Sculptor Molly has been dating banker boyfriend Sam for ages, but Sam can't bring himself to tell her how he really fells about her. Before he gets the chance, he's killed by Willie, a mugger.
Sam becomes a ghost, but no one can see or hear him except phony psychic Oda Mae. Sam pesters Oda Mae to visit Molly and convince her of his existence.
Together Sam and Oda Mae fight to protect Molly from Willie, who's hatched a plan to steal millions and will go through Molly to get to the money if he has to. Will Sam's love be enough to save her? See Ghost and find out.

Based on the Academy Award winning film of the same name, Ghost The Musical follows the story of lovers Sam and Molly, who are attacked one evening on the street as they return to their Manhattan apartment. When Sam dies he becomes caught between our world and the next. After his death he discovers that Molly is still in danger from their attackers and he cannot bring himself to leave her. A medium, Oda Mae Brown, helps Sam in his quest to protect Molly.

Written by Bruce Joel Rubin, Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, Ghost The Musical originally premiered in Manchester in March 2011 before transferring to the Piccadilly Theatre in London’s West End in June that same year. Now also a hit on the Broadway stage, Ghost The Musical is soon to be seen in Australia. The first non-English language production of the show is set to open in August 2012 in the Netherlands.
