Cheap David Baddiel - Fame Not The Musical tickets at the Menier Chocolate Factory
It's been 16 years since the Baddiel half of Newman & Baddiel last performed a solo stand up show. But now, following a bunch of work in progress shows and an Edinburgh Fringe run, David Baddiel's back on stage with "Fame Not The Musical", which is now playing a run at the Menier Chocolate Factory. In the early 90s, Newman and Baddiel were the biggest comedy act in the country, and the first comedians to play and sell out Wembley Arena. Since the pair split, Baddiel teamed up with Frank Skinner and the pair became the kings of a new laddish comedy scene, hosting "Fantasy Football League" and "Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned".
His new solo show focuses on the bizarreness of fame and dealing with being in the public eye. It might sound pretentious , but its actually rather interesting and there are cracking gags among his stories.

Menier Chocolate Factory
The Menier Chocolate Factory is situated on Southwark Street, close to London Bridge tube and rail stations. As you may possibly have deduced from its name, the vintage-1870 venue once served as the factory of the Menier Chocolate Company, which ceased trading in the 1960s.
The Factory building stood derelict from the ‘80s until its reincarnation in its present form in 2004. Its lovely 180 seat venue is the centrepiece of an arts complex that also includes a bar and restaurant.
The Paris-based Menier family began manufacturing chocolate in 1816. In that pre-Trade Descriptions Act era, the chocolate was sold for its supposed medicinal benefits. The Menier Company was for decades one of the most successful chocolatiers in the world, but dwindling success and numerous amalgamations and acquisitions through the ’60s caused it to finally shut up shop.
But the memory of the company lives on in the Factory building, which maintains its original exposed wooden beams, cast iron columns and brick feature interior. The award-winning performance space also has a rehearsal space on the second floor that is available for hire. The Chocolate Factory is one of the most intimate and exciting places in the capital to experience theatre.
Today, the Menier Chocolate Factory is one of London’s most successful small theatres. It’s established a solid reputation as a dynamic fringe venue in the heart of London, staging inventive new work ranging from plays to live music, musicals to stand-up comedy.
The layout, size and atmosphere of the Menier Chocolate factory make it the perfect place to see intimate and innovative drama. Recent successes include Aspects of Love, The Invisible Man, Road Show, Smash!, Educating Rita, Abigail’s Party and Torch Song Trilogy.
Whatever you decide to see at the Menier Chocolate Factory, we wish you an entertaining and rewarding visit.
