Ghost the Musical Goes Ahead With UK Tour

Ghost the Musical is embarking on a UK tour next year, which will kick off at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff in April.

The tour will go on to visit the New Wimbledon Theatre, London on 30 April–11 May, Edinburgh Playhouse on 14 May–1 June, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre on 3–15 June and Leeds Grand Theatre on 17–29 June.

Based on the Oscar winning film of the same name starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, Ghost is directed by Tony Award-winner Matthew Warchus.

The show premiered at London’s Piccadilly Theatre in June 2011 and on Broadway in April 2012. Its successful run at the Piccadilly came to a close on 6 October this year.

Ghost focuses on lovers Sam and Molly, who are attacked by a mugger one night on their way home.  Sam is murdered - but in light of his recent investigations into dirty deeds in his workplace, can his murder really be just a random act of chance? With Molly’s life in danger and Sam trapped in limbo, phony psychic Oda Mae may be the couple’s only hope.

Ghost the Musical’s book is by Bruce Joel Rubin and its music and lyrics are by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard. Casting for the tour has yet to be announced.
