Eighties glam rock musical Rock of Ages has just announced it will be transferring to the more central location of the Garrick Theatre from 18 January 2013.
The outrageously funny musical opened at the Shaftesbury Theatre in October 2011 to good reviews, with a stellar cast that included sexy X-Factor winner Shayne Ward.
The show soon picked up a host of celebrity fans including Britney Spears, Jeremy Clarkson, Cilla Black and Martin Kemp.
Called ‘insanely fun’ by Time Out, the show features 30 big-haired, hard-rockin’ Eighties tunes including Don’t Stop Believin’, We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Wanted Dead or Alive and I Want To Know What Love is.
Set in LA's infamous Sunset Strip, Rock Of Ages tells the story of aspiring rock star Drew, who works in a bar called the Bourbon Room and falls for Sherrie, a small town girl who’s come to Los Angeles hoping to make it big as an actress.
When the Bourbon Room is scheduled for demolition, one final money-spinning gig is planned. Can Drew bring himself to tell Sherrie how he feels about her before it’s too late, or will rock bad-boy Stacee Jaxx steal her heart instead?
